Overview:

This course introduces the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity, covering both its defensive potential and the new threats it introduces. Learners will explore how attackers leverage AI for phishing, malware generation, and prompt injection, while also learning how defenders can use AI to accelerate threat hunting, reverse engineering, and incident response. Through a blend of foundational theory, practical modules, and real-world scenarios, learners will develop the skills needed to securely integrate AI into security operations and defend against AI-driven attacks.

Prerequisites:

Access to RangeForce/Cyberbit. (Will be given to each participant for course completion)

Outcomes:

The learner will be able to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of AI and large language models within a cybersecurity context.
  • Identify and analyze threats enabled by AI, including AI-generated phishing, malware, and prompt injection attacks.
  • Evaluate the security risks introduced by AI systems, such as data leakage, model manipulation, and adversarial misuse.
  • Apply defensive strategies that use AI to support threat hunting, log analysis, and incident response.
  • Utilize AI-assisted techniques to analyze code, investigate binaries, and accelerate reverse engineering.
  • Assess how AI can assist in vulnerability discovery, exploitation, and secure system design.
